BCM 2007 brings Outlook 2007 SP1 to a crawl....

Client has BCM 2007 on Outlook 2007 SP1. The minute Outlook is started; CPU usage hits 50%+ just for Outlook.

Solution that worked:

1. Click Start then Run.
2. Type in at Run: Outlook /cleanreminders

Did that and usage dropped to almost non-existent; even with two Outlook Sessions and IE 7 running. Apparently bogus entries can exist that get created in the shared BCM Database on the server that need to be cleared.

This blogging is starting to become a regular thing... :P

Regarding the Good News Post

Big G Tech Support is a Christian Company.

1. We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ nor in professing and confessing it.
2. Big G stands for Big God.
3. It was founded by a Jew who received Christ on 12/08/2002 [My sister's B-Day].
4. We have had the opportunity to pray with many clients to receive Christ and will continue to do so.

Merry Christmas, Happy New, and to my Jewish Brethen - Shalom!

Have you heard the Good News?

You can know for sure that you are going to heaven when you die!

When asked the questions, "Where will you spend an eternity," most people say they "hope" or "think" they'll spend it in heaven. They're not positive where they will go. 1 John 5:12-13 says, "He who has the Son has life; and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."It is a common misconception that by being baptized or doing good works, you will be guaranteed a place in heaven. Jesus said in John 3:3, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man or woman be born again, he/she cannot see the kingdom of God." It is not what we have done, but God has done for us that will secure our salvation. Ephesians 2:8 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." Eternal life, or salvation, is a free gift from God - you can't earn it.

It takes more than just believing there is a God to secure salvation. The Bible says that even the demons in hell believe there is a God, and yet, they will not be saved. The answer is in Romans 10:9-10; "That if thou shalt confess [make a public profession] with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man/woman believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Salvation comes through believing that Jesus is the Son of God and confessing Him as Lord.

If you believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died or your sins and rose again, you can know for sure that you'll go to heaven. If you pray the prayer below, and mean it with your heart, you will be saved and know that you have eternal life.

Pray this Prayer:

"God in Heaven, I know I'm a sinner and I need Your help. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Your Son, the He died on the Cross for my sins and God raised Him from the dead. Jesus, right now I open my heart and invite You to come in. Make Yourself real to me. Take control of my life. Keep me from evil and make me the person You want me to be. Be my Lord and Saviour.

Additional:

1. Read God's Word every day. Start by reading the Gospel of John over and over. The Bible will have new meaning to you.
2. Pray and take time every day to kneel down and praise Him. Talk to God just as you would any other person.
3. Seek Fellowship with other born-again Christians.
4. Attend church regularly. Hebrews 10:25 says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Are we starting a trend?

Whoosh!

Just like that and seemingly overnight I might add, Winter has made an earlier appearance in Minnesota. And with that, a Big G Tech Tip also!

Did you know that cold weather doesn't harm your laptop? However, the potential condensation [moisture] once it's put into a warmer environment can be the issue. So say you left your laptop in the freezing car overnight? What then?

Here are our recommended tips...

1. Wait 10-15 minutes before turning it on.
2. Remember that laptops are made of plastic also and suddenly flipping it open could result in potential cracking.
3. If you do have to leave your laptop in the car, ensure it's inside a carrying case. This will provide some basic insulation.

Hopefully these simple yet effective recommendations will keep you computing...at least until Spring!
